Our Estate vineyard is Demeter certified Biodynamic®. The highest form of organic farming in the world, Biodynamics goes beyond the elimination of chemicals to represent a complete and holistic system of agriculture that views the farm as a living organism intimately connected with its environment. The goal of a Biodynamic wine is not perfection, but rather to truly and authentically reflect the variety, vintage, place and passion of the people who make it. Demeter is a third party certifier of traditional Biodynamic practices and the oldest such agency in the United States. Certification, the ultimate guarantee of tradition and purity in the production of agricultural products, is extremely difficult to achieve and must be renewed annually.

| Tasting Notes: | This is not an overblown cab; it’s chock-full of dark fruit flavors of blackberries, currants and enhanced by black pepper and sage spices. In the mouth this wine is super-chalky with well balanced tannins and acids. Sure not to tire your palate out, its finish is long and clean. |
| Vineyard Notes: | Located on a steep hillside on our Sonoma Mountain Estate, this block is full of obsidian rock which holds heat and enhances the ability to help ripen the fruit. Erratic climate changes played a huge role in our vineyard management – from frost to drought, high winds to heat waves, smoke from fires hundreds of miles away, we were hard at work from start to finish. Initially, harvest began early in August, but cooler temperatures slowed things down a bit and the rest of the harvest was evenly paced and lasted into October. |
| Production: | 245 cases produced. |
