While evaluating individual vineyard blocks at Sunny Slope we came across a parcel that showed a unique balance of elegance and resonance. We decided to bottle this separately to demonstrate the many characteristics of this one-of-a-kind vineyard and of course for your enjoyment. We designated this special wine Etta’s Blend.

Sunny Slope’s vines were planted in holes drilled or pick-axed out of fractured stone over 30 years ago. The deep roots – a result of maturity and years of laboring for water – combine with the warm southwest exposure, produce thick-skinned grapes which give us the concentrated fl avors, inky color and extracted tannins that distinguish this vineyard.
Our family has had the good fortune to farm Sunny Slope Vineyard for almost two decades. In this vintage we honor our partner and Sunny Slope’s owner, Etta Allen.
Pair with game birds (duck, pheasant) or mustard marinated pork loin.
Each lot in the Sunny Slope Vineyard has a unique expression of soil and vine variation. e Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were harvested, fermented and aged separately, 30% new oak for 20 months, in order to develop and maintain
their own inherent personality. Drink now or cellar for the next 5-7 years.
