This Sauvignon Blanc is crafted around the magnificent aromas this vineyard produces. Using neutral oak barrel aging, stainless steel drums and tanks during fermentation, allows and extra layer of palate stimulating creamy texture. Brimming with citrus aromas of lime and grapefruit, this wine has a nice soft entry, which carries through the center palate with a vibrant, fresh, crisp finish.
Located in the Russian River Valley AVA, the Frank Johnson Vineyard is composed of loamy, slow but well draining, Goldridge soil which keeps the terrain cool and allows long hang-time. Throughout the growing season, we tailored our work in the vineyard to balance the site’s natural ability to produce fruit with intense aromatics.
All of the fruit was whole cluster pressed before cold barrel fermentation. We fermented and aged the wine in neutral oak barrels and stainless steel drums to enhance texture and mouthfeel.
This wine was made with grapes grown by sustainable farming methods. Our sustainable philosophy promotes natural vineyard management, restoration of the land and biodiversity on the estate. We believe these practices result in wines that reflect the authentic flavors, aromas and character of the vineyard.
