Tasting Notes | Our 2005 Sonoma Valley Port has rich, decadent layers of blackberry and current with nuances of spice and coffee in the finish. A balanced wine, the sweetness is offset by the complexity of the flavors and full bodied mouthfeel. Enjoy with flourless chocolate torte, cheesecake or a cheese plate.

Vineyard | Made from Serres Vineyards Petit Verdot and Caton Vineyards Petite Sirah, both in Sonoma Valley, this ruby red wine showcases the signature black fruit flavors, sturdy tannins and rich mouthfeel of this renowned grape growing region.

Winemaking | This wine was fermented for ten days before being arrested by the addition brandy fortification.  The wine was pressed to tank to settle for three days before being moved to barrels.  It was barrel aged for ten months in older American oak.  The wine was bottled in August 2006.
