Wine Club Policies

Wine Club Shipments

Processing and shipping dates vary based on sign-up date. Please contact the Club Member Support Team for processing and delivery estimations at: wineclub@benziger.com.

If you ship to New Jersey, your delivery week will differ from the dates listed. Please contact the Club Member Support Team for delivery estimations at: wineclub@benziger.com.

The average cost per season is $333, plus applicable taxes.

Customize Your Club Shipment

Club Members are invited to customize their seasonal shipments via their online portal approximately 2 weeks prior to the published processing date.

If you choose not to customize your shipment, or miss the window to do so online, you will be billed for the standard allocation of wines pre-selected by our winemaker.

Shipments are customizable and pricing will vary. Club Members receive 20-25% off retail price off all wines included in each seasonal shipment, depending on the club tier they have selected. Reserve Reds & Pinot Cellar members receive 25% off retail price; Mixed & White Wine Club members receive 20% off retail price, which applies to wines included in their seasonal shipment.

Will Call Information

If you are a will-call member, you will be notified when your wines are ready for pick-up at the Benziger Family Winery Tasting Room.

Orders not picked-up by the published will-call deadline will be shipped to the default address on file.

Cancellation Policy:

By signing up for a wine club, you authorize Benziger Family Winery to charge your payment method on file on an automatic, recurring basis in the spring and fall of each year at the rate of the wine club(s) you have chosen to join until you cancel. You may cancel any time after you receive your first (spring or fall) shipment of wine club selections. To change, pause, or cancel your membership, visit your Account Settings, submit a request to www.benziger.com/wine-club-membership-change-request, email us at wineclub@benziger.com, call 1-800-989-8890, or write to us at Benziger Family Winery, 1883 London Ranch road, Glen Ellen, CA 95442, Attn: Membership Change Request. Changes and cancellations will take effect immediately after we receive your request. All prices listed on our website are approximate and current as of today’s date. We may change prices and other membership terms and will notify you in writing (including via email) seven (7) to thirty (30) days before new prices and/or terms take effect. Shipping Options

Ground Shipping:

AZ, CA, CO, ID, NM, NV, OR and WA: 2 to 3 Business Days
AK and HI: Expedited shipping only
NJ: Due to state regulations, shipments to NJ may be delayed and will arrive approximately 2 weeks from leaving our warehouse.
All Other States: 4 to 7 Business Days
Enjoy $5 flat-rate ground shipping on your next online case (12 bottles) with code: CASE. Excludes club shipments.

Need It Faster?

For expedited rates, select your shipping address at checkout and review the options from the dropdown list of shipping methods. For express shipping options, please note that orders may take up to 48 hours to prepare prior to shipping.

Summer Shipping

To maintain the integrity of every bottle you purchase during the warm summer months, we recommend expedited shipping or temperature controlled shipping. Please call 800-898-8890 for more information.

UPS and FedEx Temperature Controlled Shipping

When choosing temperature controlled shipping, please allow 1-2 weeks of transit time. All orders are on a 55-degree temperature controlled truck until it arrives to the local UPS or FedEx hub in MO, GA, NY and TX. Delivery is 1-2 business days from the UPS or FedEx hub, but please be aware they are delivered in a regular ground UPS or FedEx truck that is not temperature controlled. Temperature controlled shipping is not available in all states.

Weather Holds

Due to extreme temperatures, some orders may be placed on a weather hold or delayed. We do not ship when temperatures fall below 25 degrees or exceed 95 degrees; we will offer the purchase of icepacks on orders over 95 degrees and upgraded shipping options (for an additional expense) that will deliver within 1-2 days.

Holiday Shipping

For Holiday delivery with ground shipping, place orders by 6pm PT:

Christmas delivery: by December 13th

New Year’s Eve delivery: by December 19th

Shipping Policies

Tax

Tax varies by address and will be calculated during checkout.

Tracking Numbers & Shipping Confirmation

Once your package ships, you will receive an email confirmation with your tracking number.
Please note: Due to state laws, tracking numbers to New Jersey will not be activated until the wine reaches the state line. Once scanned in at your local UPS or FedEx facility, your delivery information will be available. Tracking numbers for orders shipped with UPS or FedEx Temperature Control shipping will not be activated until the wine reaches the local UPS or FedEx hub.

Why doesn’t my tracking number work? (It isn’t updating.)

For most states, tracking numbers will show and be active when your wines ships from our warehouse.
If you have further questions, please e-mail us at buywine@benziger.com and include your order number for an update.

States Where Wine Cannot Be Delivered

Due to state laws we are unable to ship wine to AR, IN, ME, MS, and UT.
Orders shipping to either DE or RI must be placed in person from our Tasting Room. Due to state regulations, we cannot fulfill orders to DE or RI that are placed online or by phone, including wine club shipments.
If you live in these states, you can still send wine as a gift to an eligible state!

Over 21 Requirements

Both the buyer and recipient must be 21 years or older with verification during purchase and upon receipt.

Federal And State Regulations – ID’s and Date Of Birth

Currently, regulatory compliance with state and federal law requires us to keep a valid identification number or date of birth on file for you (driver’s license, passport, or military identification number) as proof of your legal age.

Volume Limitations

AZ, CT, DC, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WI, WV, WY
Some states limit the number of bottles (or total volume) that we are allowed to ship to individuals in a given timeframe (per month, per year etc). If your order is deemed non-compliant due to volume limitations, a representative from the winery will reach out to you for additional information and provide alternative shipping options.

Bottle Restrictions

LA, NJ
Some states prohibit the shipping of certain wines in our portfolio. If your order is deemed non-compliant due to a bottle restriction, a representative from the winery will reach out to you for additional information and provide alternative shipping options if available.

Carrier Restrictions

Alabama – Orders must ship and deliver to a registered ABC Store location, Direct-to-Consumer delivery is not currently available to AL. While state laws have changed our License is still in process and we are not yet legal to ship Direct-to-Consumer.

Louisiana – FedEx shipping only

New Jersey – VinGlobal shipping via UPS only

International Shipping

At this time we do not offer international shipping.

Redirects and Delayed Delivery Options

You may redirect your package to another address, or delay the delivery: If your order is currently in transit and you or another adult 21+ are unable to accept the delivery at the original address, you may request to have your order redirected to a new address within the same state, request a delayed delivery date, or return the package to sender.
Redirects can be handled through UPS or FedEx; additional fees may apply.

Redirecting, delayed delivery, and return to sender options are charged a carrier imposed fee of $22 per package, and will be charged to your CC on file.

Redirect:
• The redirect must be through the original carrier.
• You may request a redirect through our website, or through the carrier directly.
• We cannot ship or redirect any wine orders to PO Boxes; they must be shipped to a business location or a residential address.
• We cannot ship to a different state than the original destination state. Due to state laws, we are unable to redirect packages to the following states: AR, IN, ME, MS, UT.
• Please submit the electronic form to request a redirect.

Delayed Delivery:
• Packages can only be delayed 10 business days from the original estimated delivery date.
• We are unable to request weekend delivery or specific delivery times with the carriers.
• Please submit the electronic form to request a delayed delivery.

Re-ships
If your order fails to deliver and has been returned to our warehouse, we can reship to the same or new address as requested. This comes with a carrier imposed of fee of $20 per package that will be charged to your credit card on file.
If your order is deemed by the carrier to be lost or damaged, please contact the winery for assistance.
